No matter how many and great a sin one commits, even if he becomes dishonest, the devil is not pleased, because he knows that God is a God of mercy, and when a man repents, he accepts him again. But when he sees that man has lost his hope and his faith in God, then he is not afraid at all, but sits on his throne very pleased, because he knows that he has won that man. This is why one should never despair.
